Around 1000 aircraft fans came together on July 8 for the sixth OldtimAIR air parade on the Stanserhorn to marvel at historic aircraft. Among the 23 oldtimers, the legendary Junkers F13 stole the show from all the others. And best of all: this flying legend took off in a double pack at the parade.
Aircraft enthusiasts were suitably excited when they saw the two Junkers F13s. After all, the faithful replicas of the world’s first all-metal commercial aircraft are a piece of aviation history to touch. Also on display were Stans-built aircraft, including a Pilatus B4 towed by a Lightwing AC4, as well as the Republic RC-3 Seabee, the T-28C and the WACO YMF-5C. The parade thus not only made the hearts of aircraft fans beat faster, but also former pilots reminisce.
