A special chapter began for FlyingJul at the Lido di Venezia: her first training session on the Junkers A50 Junior. The young pilot regularly shares her flying experiences with her online community, hoping to show just how fascinating—and at the same time accessible—flying can be.
At the Lido, she received an introduction to the A50 Junior from our flight instructor Sarah Reuter: from the pre-flight check to the specifics of tailwheel flying, right through to her first training flights in the passenger seat. It is precisely the combination of classic Junkers design and modern technology that makes the aircraft particularly exciting for FlyingJul, not least because of her training as an aircraft electronics technician and her interest in avionics.
Following her initial experiences at Lido, the training will continue in Leverkusen over the next few weeks: There, at Sarah’s home club, FlyingJul will be able to take the next step—sitting in the pilot’s seat as pilot in command. We look forward to accompanying her on this journey.
