The story of the Junkers F13
It changed the world of aviationIn 1919, when there were still more horse-drawn vehicles on the roads than cars, the Junkers F13 took off for its maiden flight in Dessau (Saxony-Anhalt). At the time, it was the world‘s first all-metal commercial aircraft capable of carrying passengers, mail and freight. The outer shell was made of resistant corrugated duralumin sheet, which was a revolutionary idea of its designer, the aircraft manufacturer Hugo Junkers.
Today, the Junkers F13 is taking off again, offering its pilots and passengers the unique experience of flying through the air as it did 100 years ago. The visionary Dieter Morszeck, a passionate pilot, came up with the idea with his design team to reproduce the Junkers F13 true to the original, using materials and workmanship to make the new Junkers F13 even safer and more durable.
